Our Faith Statement

We believe in the One True, Eternal God, a triune God existing in three distinct but not separate Persons scripturally revealed as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. There is one Person of the Father, another of the Son and another of the Holy Spirit. We do not confound the Person nor divide the Essence or Being. All three are One, Glory equal and Majesty co-eternal. All three are uncreated, co-equal and eternal. The Father created through the Son by the power of the Holy Spirit. The Father saves through the Son and by the power of the Holy Spirit.

We believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the promised Messiah, begotten of the Father by the Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, being fully God and fully man. We believe in the pre-existence of Christ with the Father and that He was present from the beginning of creation. We believe that Christ made Himself known to His people in the Old Testament through various Christophanies such as the Angel of the Lord and the priest Melchizedek. We believe that Jesus Christ the Messiah lived a perfect and sinless life and that He died a substitutionary death for our sins on the cross. We believe that Christ bore the full judgment of God for the sins of the world and no further sacrifice or work is required. We believe that Jesus Christ was confirmed as the only begotten of the heavenly Father by literally and physically being raised from the dead. We further believe that Christ revealed Himself in a glorified physical body to His disciples after His resurrection. This resurrection is the believer’s assurance that all who die in Christ will also be resurrected unto eternal life and glorification. We believe that Christ Jesus presently sits at the right hand of God where He intercedes as High Priest for all those who come to the Father through Him and from where He will return at a time set by the Father to claim His bride, rule literally and physically from Jerusalem for a millennium and thereafter execute final judgment.

We believe in the presence of the Holy Spirit as promised by the Father, poured out on the born-again believer through the Son and manifested in the body through the fruits and the gifts. We believe that the Holy Spirit is presently personally involved in the lives of men to convict of sin, confirm in righteousness and sanctify those who believe. We believe that the born-again man in obedience to the Holy Spirit now fulfills the righteous requirements of the Law and that man can now live a Holy God pleasing life freed from the power of sin. We believe that it is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that distinguishes the believer from unbelievers and that the fruit of the Spirit is the sign of the believer’s personal relationship with God. We believe in the gifts of the Holy Spirit operating in the church but with a strong rejection of modern-day Charismatic and Pentecostal extremes.

We believe that all men are morally corrupt due to the fall of Adam and incapable of redeeming themselves from their sinful conditions by their own means, whether by works or sacrifices. Although man is morally corrupt, he is still able to make choices for or against God by virtue of the divine given free will. We believe that men, by their own free will, through faith alone, when drawn by the Father through the Spirit and the Word of truth, are able to repent of their sinful state and believe in the Lord Jesus Christ unto salvation. We believe that it is the will of the Father that all men should come to the knowledge of the truth and that all men should be saved. The Father consequently draws all men unto Himself, but all do not respond in faith and surrender to Him. We believe that the born-again man is called to a life of holiness and that justification must be accompanied by a corresponding work of sanctification. We further believe that believers must be faithful to God until the end of their lives where after they will receive the outcome of their faithfulness – the glorification of the body and final salvation of their souls. We believe that it was appointed for all men once to die and thereafter judgment. There will be no second chance to repent and turn by faith to God after death. All those who do not repent in this present world will be condemned with the devils for their rebellion against God once they die.

We believe that the church is the body and bride of Christ; that it is composed of both Jewish and gentile believers from Pentecost to the rapture; that entrance into this body is through being born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. The church is not a building, affiliation or organization but a living dynamic organism composed of believers each functioning in their respective God given gifts with the purpose of glorifying God and making disciples.

We believe that the church is distinct from Israel; that while sharing with Israel spiritual blessings of the Jewish covenants, the church does not replace Israel in the plan of God nor can it lay claim to specific promises made to Israel as a nation. We believe that the relationship between Israel and the church is inseparable and that Israel is prophetically tied to both the first and second coming of the Messiah.

We believe that an ordinance is a practice commanded by Christ, practiced in the Book of Acts and expounded in the epistles and that only two ordinances exist: baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, both of which are limited to believers only. We believe that these ordinances should be kept in a literal way.

We believe that the church is the witnessing body of Christ on the earth and that it is commissioned under the headship of Christ to live the truth, preach the message of the Kingdom to all men and to disciple all those who believe. Christ Jesus did not instruct us to make converts but disciples instructing us that we should teach men to obey the commandments and teachings of the Scriptures and the guidance of the Holy Spirit.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the head of the body through whom all the joints are nourished and linked together and that the body should be governed by the principles established by the first apostles under the stewardship of the elders. We believe that there is a divine order found in the family and repeated in the local body of believers. God the Father is the head of Christ, Christ is the head of man, and man is the head of his wife. The Lord called every man to be prophet, priest and king of his own home. This divine order of male headship is repeated in the local body for the guidance and protection of women.

We believe that the elders, called by God and equipped with gifts of the Spirit are given to serve the body in order to equip the whole body for their work in the ministry. The elders were given to the church to guard and keep the flock of God, not by manipulation or coercion but by humility, love and truth, laying down their lives for the flock. The elders were given to strengthen the weak, encourage the weary, teach the ignorant, correct the straying, discipline the erring and rebellious and do all of this with the love of God towards His own people. Governance under mature, wise and Godly elders protect the flock from the many ravenous wolves that roam about to destroy the body of God. We believe in the five-fold ministry and gifts from the Lord operating through called and anointed elders.

We hold to a premillennial return of Christ as the Lion of Judah, at which time He will redeem His bride, both those who are asleep in Christ and those who are still alive. We believe that at the return of Christ He will lead Israel to salvation and restoration and execute judgment on all humanity. We further believe that Christ the Messiah will physically return to reign from King David’s throne as King of Kings. He will rule from Jerusalem for a thousand years. We believe in the resurrection of all unbelievers after the millennial kingdom of Christ at which time they will all appear before the Great White Throne Judgment of Christ to be judged and eternally condemned with the devils.

We believe that hell is a real place of incarceration which God prepared for the Devil and his angels to be imprisoned and tormented for all eternity. Those rebellious, unbelieving humans who shunned the cross and the grace of God in this present world will unfortunately and tragically be condemned and cast into the lake of fire with the devils.

We believe that the believers will be glorified at the return of Christ and will thereafter live in the presence of God for eternity.

We believe in the doctrinal infallibility of the whole of Scripture, both the Old and New Testament in the original manuscripts, and that the whole of Scripture is the Supreme authority in all matters of faith and life. The Bible as infallible Word of God is all-sufficient for all the needs of man and therefore nothing can be added, and nothing can be taken away. We believe that the whole of Scripture is inspired by the Spirit of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness to comprehensively equip every believer.
